Land Of Talk: Applause Cheer Boo Hiss
If you’ve been paying attention to the elb.ows charts lately, you’ probably remember seeing Land of Talk’s ‘Talk To Me Bones’ up there for a pretty long time. Since no one’s perfect, I just barely got around to hearing their debut EP, Applause Cheer Boo Hiss, this past weekend. Overall, it’s a pretty good listen. It won’t probably won’t blow your mind, but it has a certain charm to it that makes it hard to resist. The 90-ish riot-grrl vocals done quite well, with sharp instrumentation throughout; the percussion is particularly tight. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I have high hopes for Land Of Talk.
