Earlier this month, Illinois (who are not named after the state) released their debut EP, What The Hell Do I Know. They have the same twang as recent faves the Papercuts, but with a much gritter, lo-fi sound. If you can only check out one of their songs, make it ‘Nosebleed’. First the banjo starts strumming, then a nice electronic-style drum kicks in, and finally, the ultra lo-fi vocals kick in. Keep your eye on this band.
