It’s Monday again, and you know what that means: more remixes! They’re all pretty decent, but my personal favorite of the bunch is the Appogee remix of Bright Eye’s Lover I Don’t Have To Love. It keeps the best parts of the original, while adding an extra dose of electro. Enjoy!
‘Bounce’ is only the fifth song on Shock Value, but I just haven’t been able to get past it; it’s been on repeat for about two hours now, and I’m still not sick of it. Needless to say, the beats are insane, but the guest stars are what really make this track; Missy Elliot, JT, and Dr. Dre all make an appearance. Each guest’s part makes perfect sense, but Missy Elliot’s is my personal favorite. Her voice perfectly complements this track. It doesn’t hurt that the lyrics are pretty damn funny too. ‘Bounce’ is a low-down, sleazy, downright nasty track, and I love it.
Timbaland confuses me. He’s probably the most skilled hip-hop producer out there today, but he’s lacking in the common sense department. For example, he makes a great pop track in ‘Give It To Me’, but then he’s dumb enough to let Timberlake diss Prince in it. Nobody is qualified to diss Prince, least of all Timbaland and Timberlake; FutureSex/Lovesounds wouldn’t exist without Prince. Still it’s hard to deny Timbalands talent; if Shock Value, his upcoming album, fails, only the guest ‘stars’ will be at blame. I mean, you know She Wants Revenge sucks, right Timbaland?
Apparently, this is news:
Later today, NME is expected to interview Justin Timberlake’s hamster.
